Just had a thought - is this a possibility for plagiarism? That would be awful...and that is one of my favorite poems...now i am very nervous...OH NO what should I do...maybe I shouldn't post them...well i will see what Elisabeth says.

As a History major, we had to dance carefully around the topic of plagiarism all the time. Plagiarism is representing the work of others as your own. You can use other peoples' work, but only so long as you give credit to the originator of that work. I don't see how publishing a poem you wrote counts as plagiarism, unless you are lying about having written it.

On the other hand, if you want to protect your poems from being copied, you can easily lodge a copyright claim against a plagiarizer by going to this blog and demonstrating the date stamp on this posting as proof of your authorship. You may also want to add a statement reserving all copy rights for yourself at the bottom of your postings and embedded in the blog background.
